Christine Hipgrave – Manager
Christine joined the Pre-school in December 2002 as our toddler group co-ordinator & took her qualifications to become a pre-school keyperson before then becoming the Manager in April 2006.
Christine is NVQ Level 3 qualified in Early Years Care and Education. Christine is our Lead Child Protection and Health & Safety Officer.
Amy Biggs – Deputy Manager
Amy started with our pre-school in 2016. Amy has a Diploma in early years child care, is a first aider and is the setting’s level 3 Senco. In September 2019 Amy was promoted to Deputy Manager.
Mary Fryer – Room Leader
Mary joined Chalk Hill Preschool in January 2023.
Mary has a BEd Primary (Hons) for 3-7 year olds and started teaching in 1993 and also holds a nursery nursing diploma. Mary is a wonderful addition for our children moving onto reception.
Sarah Taggart – Room Leader
Sarah joined our preschool in Sept 2025.
Sarah is an experienced childcare professional with level 2 and 3 qualifications in Childcare and Education and over 20 years working with children under 5.
She has worked as a nursery room leader and keyperson. Sarah had a break from early years working at Tumble Tots and Happyjacks for young children and we are pleased Sarah now returns to her early years roots with our preschool.
Roxanne Stagg
Roxanne joined us in September 2023. She has her early years qualification along with a level 2 in understanding mental health in the early years.
Roxanne has previously worked independently as a childminder and also in a residential home for children with complex additional needs.
Grant Mears
Grant joined us during 2024 after having been part of the support in another setting for many years.
Having settled in and been a big hit with the children, Grant has chosen to do his early years qualifications with Chalk Hill Preschool.
